Our latest profile in a series of training success stories focuses on Vera Dragoi who chose TWI's Cambridge training centre to study for her advanced qualifications.

TWI Training profile

Freelance Vera Dragoi has undertaken projects around the world involving welding inspection, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), plant inspection and quality assurance and control.

A love for maths and science led her to study at the polytechnic university in Bucharest before taking on roles in the nuclear power industry, construction and the oil and gas industry.  

After studying and passing her CSWIP Welding Inspector course, which she studied with TWI while working in Indonesia, Vera chose to continue her studies with TWI after being impressed by the knowledge of the lecturers, their open teaching style, and TWI’s training facilities. 

Recently Vera came to our Cambridge training centre in the UK to continue her training. Opting to take advantage of the on-site accommodation enabled Vera to socialise and network with other students, as well as reduce travel time. 

Having passed her ToFD Level 2, Vera is keen to return to TWI to study for her next advanced course, PAUT Level 2. 

Despite working in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Vera ensure she stays up-to-date with her knowledge and lets her experience speak for itself. Staying prepared gives Vera the confidence to do her job well and it is clear that she is an inspiration in her chosen career.
