What Is Manufacturing Support?

Manufacturing support is hands-on engineering assistance that improves the quality, efficiency and output of an existing production process, covering process and procedure review, site audits, troubleshooting and subcontract support. As an independent research and technology organisation working across all industry sectors, TWI provides this support impartially, drawing on a wealth of experience built up since 1946. Industrial Members can access immediate technical support through the TWI help desk.

Your current manufacturing capability and facility will inevitably have areas of varying efficiency. This may relate to procedures, current process parameters, equipment and fixture set-up, or even the choice of the current process – which may itself not be the optimum choice for your products. TWI can help you identify areas for improvement, and put measures in place to you can increase both quality and output.

Working closely with you, our manufacturing support services staff can support teams in resolving issues, improving production environments, and helping upgrade systems and applications.  This support ranges from application support, manufacturing process optimisation, and supply chain assistance through to problem solving and incident management, solving issues and ensuring your manufacturing processes and applications run smoothly in the long term.
