On 2 December 2021, TWI held our annual Metal Additive Manufacturing Symposium at the AMP Technology Park in South Yorkshire. This year the event was livestreamed from the conference room to a global audience, reaching over 40 countries throughout the day.
The event was attended by many of TWI's Industrial Members and collaborative partners, including Rolls-Royce, Boeing and Lloyd’s Register, with those attending in person also benefitting from a tour of the laboratories at TWI’s Technology Centre in Yorkshire, where our latest EHLA and wire Laser Metal Deposition capabilities were showcased.
Presentations were delivered by a range of technical experts from companies such as ATI, GKN Aerospace, nTopology, Freemelt, Titomic, HMT, University of Birmingham and Nanyang Technological University Singapore. TWI’s Carl Hauser and Tyler London presented on large scale laser DED and developments in numerical modelling for Additive Manufacturing processes.
If you attended the Symposium on 2nd December, we hope you found it useful. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2022.
