Cambridge, September 11th 2012
A one day event to share your collaborative projects' ideas & cluster-to-cluster cooperation strategies!
TWI, with the support of the British National Contact Point for SMEs and Enterprise Europe Network, is organising the second edition of the Inter-Cluster Brokerage Event on the 11th September 2012.
This event follows the success of the ICBE 2011 organised by the French EMC2 Cluster in Nantes last year and, as we have good relations with this Cluster, TWI has decided to host the event in Cambridge for this 2012 edition.
TWI (The Welding Institute) is a non-profit world centre of expertise that creates value and enhances quality of life for Members and stakeholders through engineering, materials and joining technologies. TWI has technological expertise in Arc processes, Ceramics, Defect assessment, Corrosion resistant alloys, Surfacing and analysis, Electron beam, Ferritic steels, Finite element analysis, Friction and forge, Laser and sheet processes, Manufacturing support, Microtechnology, Non-destructive testing, Polymers, Composites and adhesives, Structural assessment.
The purpose of the ICBE 2012 is to allow participants, firstly to share projects' ideas and find partners for collaboration and the forthcoming EU projects' calls, and secondlyto discuss as well as share experience about European Cluster Cooperation strategies.

Why participate?
This event is aimed to facilitate contacts between the clusters and, by extension, their members (industrial and academic).
Each cluster attending the event will present its activity and will be able to display its project ideas and/or proposals for collaboration or EU projects.
To do so, a project portfolio will be set-up thanks to participants' contribution. This brochure will be distributed to the entire registered attendees list in order for them to get to know each other and their projects. So you will be able to book face-to-face bilateral meetings and know who to see before coming.
During this meetings' session, you will meet potential partners for research, innovation and business in order to go more in depth into practical collaboration after the morning presentations.
THE PARTICIPATION IS FREE OF CHARGE (the travel costs and the accommodation are at your expense). EARLY REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED, AS SPACE IS LIMITED.
