Buy-back - Joint Industry Projects (JIP)

The Buy-back Scheme

TWI’s JIP programme has been up and running since 1963. There is a wide variety of JIPs that have been delivered since that time and they are available to TWI Members through the buyback process. This process allows TWI Members to purchase the reports from JIPs which have finished by paying an agreed fee. A selected list of JIPs can be found below:

• State of the Art review of the assessment qualification and use of Mechanically Lined Pipes (MLPs)
• Fatigue performance of mooring chains in seawater
• Fracture toughness testing of steels subject to sour water

• Effect of cathodic protection on thermally sprayed aluminium coatings at elevated temperature

• Nozzle Calibration and Quality Assurance of Powder Fed Lasel Deposition
