TWI's friction stir welding (FSW) team are planning to resume their in-person friction stir welding training courses later this year.
Whilst during the COVID outbreak it was possible to conduct online training courses, these were only able to cover the theoretical aspects of friction stir welding, augmented by video coverage of welds being made.
TWI's laboratory-based FSW training is renowned for its 'hands on' tuition where attendees get to make their own welds using TWI's equipment and, equally importantly, work alongside our engineers and technicians, availing themselves of many years of collective experience in the field to gain a thorough understanding of the process and how it might best be applied in their own workplace.
