Shaping the Future of Welding: Advances in Modelling and Simulation
Join leading experts for a one-day seminar dedicated to the latest advances in the modelling and simulation of welding. The event, which will be chaired by TWI’s Principal Simulation and Modelling Engineer, Anas Yaghi, will explore current industrial challenges, the impact of simulation on design and manufacturing, and the opportunities opened by new computational methods and artificial intelligence. Topics will include weld pool modelling, validation techniques, linking micro- to macro-scales, scaling up to assemblies, and best practice in benchmarking and standardisation.
Presentations will highlight how simulation enables safer, faster, and more sustainable welding processes, while a closing panel session will provide an open forum for discussion on future developments and applications.
Who Should Attend?
This seminar is designed for academics, industrial practitioners, simulation specialists, welding engineers, materials scientists, research students, and decision-makers in manufacturing sectors who wish to stay at the forefront of welding innovation.
