The Materials Integrity Technology Transfer Project

The Materials Integrity Technology Transfer Project

Acronym: MITT
Funding body: Other
Status: Project

MITT is a FREE business support scheme geared to help companies in the Tees Valley region (Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, and Stockton-on-Tees) overcome technology challenges and barriers to growth and success. This free support is designed to help exploit best practice and innovation to improve product design and fabrication methods, and introduce new products, processes and services for companies employing 250 people or less in the Tees Valley area.

The programme allows businesses to take advantage of up to seven days of practical and impartial independent advice from TWI’s network of engineers and technology experts. The support on offer includes, but is not limited to, welding, plastics joining, surface engineering and coatings technology, additive manufacture, non-destructive testing applications, inspection and numerical modelling, covering all engineering materials such as metals, composites, plastics, and many more.

The Materials Integrity Technology Transfer (MITT) project is part of the Tees Valley Centre for Materials Integrity Programme, which is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020) and Tees Valley Combined Authority.
