Join us at the TWI Innovation Network Convention 2022

Fri, 24 June, 2022

We are pleased to announce the return of the TWI Innovation Network (TWIIN) Convention as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.

The annual free-to-attend event has been held online but now you can look forward to catching up with familiar faces, making new contacts and being a part of the latest discussions around engineering technology innovation and collaborative investment.

Taking place from 9-15:00 BST on 22 July 2022, the convention will begin with a keynote presentation from president of TÜBİTAK, the scientific and technological research institution of Turkey, Professor Hasan Mandal.

TWI section manager for technology innovation management, James Foden and group manager of public funding management, Heidi Dyson will deliver an overview of the new TWIIN training courses.

Omer Beysel, assistant general manager of Floteks Automotive will provide an insight into how to achieve international success with European projects, and TWI’s head of public funding and regional engagement, Abbas Mohimi will present on the latest opportunities to be found in Singapore.

Aside from these presentations, the convention programme will be dedicated to partner matching and brokerage, offering all you need to know if you are new to this activity alongside accompanying technology pitches by selected Innovation Centres and TWIIN Subscriber companies about projects you could get involved with.

"We are excited to be meeting our partners, Network Subscriber companies, and TWI Industrial Member companies in-person this year after two years of running online events, and have created a stimulating and engaging day of talks and activities for delegates.”

Dr Cem Selcuk, head of business development for TWIIN

This year, you can also attend the NSIRC Research and Innovation Conference 2022, which is being held at WI Cambridge the day before, on 21 July 2022. This conference features presentations by PhD students on their research in areas including non-destructive testing, composites, additive manufacturing and fatigue integrity management. These presentations are accompanied by sessions detailing our core research programme, including an insight into recent projects that were all selected to address specific industrial and technological challenges for our Members.

While both of these events are free-to-attend, there is a limited availability due to them being in-person. So please register now to book your place at the events you would like to attend.

If you are interested in sponsoring this year’s convention and gain the attention of an innovation focused, international audience, please email for information on the packages available.
