Real-time dynamic control system for laser welding

Objective: Develop a laser welding control system capable of integrating process sensor data obtained before, during and after welding, to adjust the laser welding parameters accordingly and deliver welded joints targeting zero defects.
Benefit: Information and experience on novel process monitoring and control solutions will be made exploited by industrial end-users in the project, and disseminated to the wider research and industrial communities, helping to strengthen the EU’s position in both laser welding and high value manufacturing.
