TWI Technology Consultant for Thermal Processing Technologies, Dr Raja Khan PhD CEng FWeldI FIMMM is due to attend the Euro PM2026 Congress and Exhibition, which is taking place from 11-14 October, 2026 in Budapest.
Euro PM is the premier event for powder metallurgy (PM) in Europe, organised annually by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), a leading trade association for PM in Europe.
The congress has been designed to cover all aspects of PM and related sectors such as additive manufacturing (AM), hot isostatic pressing (HIP), metal injection moulding (MIM), and press and sinter, as well as addressing hard materials, diamond tools, powders and sustainability. The event includes an exhibition area where key raw material suppliers and equipment manufacturers will be present.
The event attracts industry leaders and representatives from across the entire powder metallurgy supply chain, including powder suppliers, advanced manufacturing experts, parts manufacturers, end-users, and more.
Dr Khan has been requested to present a paper about 'manufacturing of high performance and complex parts via hot isostatic pressing' for the Nuclear Applications Special Interest Seminar (SIS) during the conference. He has also been asked to lead a panel session during a wider group meeting on HIP technology.
Dr Khan is also the co-author of two more papers submitted for Euro PM2026, ‘Metal powder degassing endpoint detection with remote plasma optical emission spectroscopy (RPOES),’ which was co-written with Gencoa, and ‘A comparison study of microstructure and mechanical properties of 300M steel produced by coaxial laser directed energy deposition using powder and wire,’ which DR Khan co-wrote with a TWI colleague.
