Prepare for WeldJoinExpo26

Thu, 02 July, 2026

Although registrations are now closed, we are looking forward to welcoming all of our attendees to WeldJoinExpo26 at TWI Cambridge on 7 July, 2026.

Being the premier event for welding, joining and allied technology, there will be experts and professionals from across industry for keynote speeches, presentations and industry specific workshops, including a number of high-level and expert speakers both for the ‘Skill Zone and the ‘Future Technologies’ area. Confirmed speakers include names from many globally-recognised companies, organisations and associations, such as IOM3, the Nuclear Industry Association, BAE Systems, Siemens, the European Space Agency, Make UK Defence, Kuka Systems UK, and many more.

Many attendees from TWI Industrial Members have pre-booked sessions at our industry-specific workshops and seminars - covering aerospace, defence, nuclear, oil and gas and space - although there are also open access sessions for a range of industries and capabilities. Attendees will be able to visit the industry-wide NDT area, which will include a mix of presentations and live demonstrations.

Addressing the future of industry, we have also partnered with TWI Industrial Member, JCB, to provide a day full of skills seminars, presentations, speeches, and more, aimed at promoting engineering and industry careers to the next generation. In addition, professional experts from TWI Training, The Welding Institute, and TWI Certification will all be available during the day to provide information on how they support career development and skills for industry.

Attendees can also come to our ‘Future Technology’ rooms to discover how high-quality research is driving transformation and delivering real economic and societal benefits. There will also be a deep dive into TWI’s history and greatest innovations across 100 years of experience and heritage, where we have been responsible for innovations and technological breakthroughs in welding, joining and manufacturing technologies, plus, an exploration of how the TWI roadmap is building on our past successes to create important and innovative advancements to shape the future of industry.

We are also opening up the main engineering hall in the Bevan Braithwaite Building for the day, so attendees can visit and see some of the key welding, joining, coating, and materials testing technologies available at TWI Cambridge.

With hundreds of different organisations due to be represented at WeldJoinExpo26, we understand that it is also important to provide the right atmosphere for networking and sharing ideas and information, including with our experienced, high skilled employees who will be on hand to share their expert knowledge and insights.

These are just some of the planned highlights for WeldJoinExpo26, with a few additional surprises set for the day itself, we look forward to seeing you at TWI Cambridge on 7 July, 2026.
