We are pleased to announce that Martin D’Urso has completed 25 years of service to The Welding Institute /TWI’s training school.
An integral part of TWI Training’s operations in Cambridge, UK, Martin oversaw our practical welder training for many years before transitioning to handle operations and logistics for our training school. In addition, Martin now teaches aspects of our welding appreciation courses.
TWI Training is the world’s largest provider of welding technology and inspection-related training for industry, providing training that leads to internationally recognised qualifications that provide real benefits for individuals and companies alike.
Each year, around 20,000 people benefit from our comprehensive range of industrial training programmes with support from our expert staff and trainers, who work to aid career progression and verification of competencies to a recognised standard.
Speaking on his time at TWI Training, Martin said, “25 years at TWI has been an incredible journey - from starting out in the welder training school to playing a key role in the logistics and operations of the training and examinations team. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for the people and experiences that have made the journey so rewarding.”
Popular with colleagues and trainees alike, Martin has personally been responsible for training hundreds of staff across his career and we are pleased to be able to recognise his contributions to TWI Training over the years – congratulations!
