We are pleased to announce DOCAN Ltd as Industrial Members of TWI. DOCAN’s experienced team of professional engineers, designers and consultants deliver engineering consultancy and software distribution services across a range of industries in the support of advanced engineering applications.
DOCAN have completed both large and small projects for most regulated industries, including FEED studies, bespoke R&D, engineering design, reverse engineering, decommissioning studies, fitness-for-service assessments, and more. In addition, partnerships with a number of global software houses allows DOCAN to provide software consultancy, training and distribution services to their global client base.
Speaking on their Industrial Membership, DOCAN said, “We have joined TWI to supplement our compendium of knowledge around welding and assessment of welded components. In particular we have invested in TWI proprietary software CrackWise®, which automates the application of BS7910 to assess the acceptability of flaws in metallic structures. This hugely facilitates fitness for service assessments, making them a great deal faster and more reliable. We also hope to benefit from TWI's experience in weld modelling in FEA and residual stress measurement.”
