TWI and The Welding Institute’s Offshore Energy Group came together to host a two-day webinar on 26-27 November.
The successful event, titled, ‘Offshore Wind - Engineering from Sea to Sky,’ saw 544 people register and 315 attending across the two days. The event also saw over 100 questions posed to the panel of experts and lots of positive feedback from the attendees.
TWI’s Materials and Structural Integrity Technology Group Manager, Jon Blackburn chaired the event which included presentations from Capucine Carpentier, Carol Johnston, Chris Punshon, Chris Worrall, Dave Harvey, Ryan Marks, Matthew Haslett and Ujjwal Bharadwaj from TWI.
There were also presentations from Andrew Macdonald of the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and James MacArthur from SSE Renewables. In addition, Louise Jones and John Ransford from Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) presented an overview of their Innovation Exchange Platform and the evolving funding landscape in offshore wind.
We would like to thank all of the speakers for their presentations and contribution in the Q&A sessions which followed, as well as thanking all of those who took time to attend the virtual event.
