Numerical Modelling and Optimisation Section Manager, Tyler London is due to present at the First European Conference on Structural Integrity of Additively Manufactured Materials (ESIAM19).
The conference, which is taking place in Trondheim, Norway from 9-11 September, 2019, will provide attendees with an overview of the current scientific knowledge and stimulate ideas for future research in additive manufacturing.
The conference will include peer-reviewed contributions in the form of presentations of papers and posters, with Tyler set to deliver a keynote at the Symposium on Metal Additive Manufacturing and Engineering Structural Integrity on ‘Additive manufacturing process simulations: From microstructure to distortion.’
The conference aims to help progress the understanding of the mechanical and functional behaviour of additively manufactured materials, including fracture and fatigue performance, while developing effective criteria for the design of high performing parts for automotive, aerospace and biomedical applications.
ESIAM19 is the first in what is planned to become an annual international conference series to be held alternately in Europe and worldwide.
