TWI Research and Product Development Programme Manager, Dr Shiladitya Paul is due to chair a session at this year’s AMPP Annual Conference and Expo in Denver, Colorado, USA.
Dr Paul is due to chair the ‘Thermal and Cold Spray Coatings’ session during the 5-day event, which takes place 19-23 March 2023 at the Colorado Convention Center.
In addition, he is presenting findings from the GeoSmart project, on which TWI is working as part of a consortium.
Dr Paul will present a paper titled, ‘Performance Of Thermal Spray Coatings In Phase Change Materials (PCMs) Used In Geothermal Plants’ on 22 March at 10:35 (local time) in Room 405.
The paper investigates the use of thermal spray coatings for phase change materials (PCMs) at geothermal plants. The a high operating temperature, low vapour pressure and low levels of reactivity in air associated with PCMs provide a range of benefits for geothermal plants, making performance more stable and reliable.
