The TWI Technology Centre Yorkshire, based at Rotherham, is set to be the venue for the quarterly meeting of the British Manufacturing Plant Constructors Association (BMPCA) on 10 March 2022.
As well as hosting the meeting, TWI will provide attendees of a tour of our facilities, demonstrating our capabilities in technologies including friction stir welding of steel, laser additive manufacturing and extreme high speed laser application (EHLA) as an improvement on laser cladding, a replacement for chrome plating and an alternative to spraying technologies.
The BMPCA is a trade association of companies that cover all aspects of manufacturing plant from design through build, installation and service and the businesses that are linked to them, such as process control and automation, digitisation, fabrication and plant refurbishment, consultancy, service and repairs, etc.
Established over 50 years ago, BMPCA membership is open to all UK based plant constructors, the BMPCA are delighted to welcome new members whose companies are involved in latest manufacturing plant for the production of hydrogen, building SMRs and Electrolyser plants, etc.
The BMPCA networks through quarterly meetings, regular bulletins and communications as well a prestigious annual lunch, which takes place on 7 April 2022 at the Old Library, Digbeth, Birmingham.
The BMPCA represents the interests of their members at strategic levels to government departments, and other bodies on matters of common interest. They cooperate by affiliation or otherwise with other organisations who have compatible objectives and provide a channel through which the views of the association on economic and trade matters can be made known.
Following refreshments on arrival, the attendees will offer updates and partake in round table discussions ahead of a tour of the TWI Yorkshire premises.
We look forward to welcoming the BMPCA to TWI.
