Book Your Place: TWI Core Research Programme In-person Event

Mon, 24 October, 2022

TWI Industrial Member companies have just two weeks left now to book their place at the forthcoming TWI Core Research Programme (CRP) Symposium Panel Meeting & Exhibition on Tuesday 8 November 2022, 08.30 – 16.00 GMT at TWI Cambridge, UK.  Please register in advance to secure your place.

TWI’s CRP is designed to meet the needs of our Industrial Member companies, through projects addressing the most significant challenges currently faced by TWI and its Industrial Members, in relation to specific technology areas and/or industry sectors that have been identified as being of critical interest to future operations.

This flagship event is exclusively for representatives of TWI Industrial Member companies and will showcase the world-leading, cutting-edge research being carried out at TWI, funded by the CRP. Delegates will have the opportunity to take a deep dive into the CRP, hear from our technical experts during a series of project elevator pitches and contribute to interactive panel sessions, visit the accompanying exhibition, see the poster display by CRP funded NSIRC PhD students, and network with fellow Industrial Members and TWI staff.

Keynote speeches by Abderrazak Traidia, Science Specialist and R&D Programme Lead, Saudi Aramco, and William Wistance, Principal Specialist - Supply Chain Assurance Services, Lloyd's Register EMEA will highlight the value and impact of the CRP, what it means to their respective organisations to participate in the programme, and how it is responding to the changing demands of industry.

In addition, TWI’s Technology Fellows will be holding 1:1 sessions for Industrial Members to discuss their emerging technology needs. These are allocated on a first come, first served basis when booking your delegate place.

The day will close with a ceremony for The Welding Institute Richard Weck Award and the CRP NSIRC PhD Poster Competition, after which delegates are welcome to stay for an optional tour of TWI’s engineering laboratories.

Tat-Hean Gan, Director of Innovation and Skills, TWI said “This annual event is designed to provide TWI Industrial Member companies with a meaningful insight into the work being undertaken within the Core Research Programme and a forum for discussing the technologies behind current CRP projects, which address different aspects of engineering, manufacturing, joining and materials.” “Therefore, I would encourage any Industrial Member company who has not already booked a place at the CRP Symposium Panel Meeting & Exhibition to do so, as the day will provide a wealth of technically and industrially relevant information, and an invaluable opportunity to talk to, and share knowledge and experience with, fellow representatives of Industrial Member companies.”
