TWI’s FSW Technology Manager, Jonathan Martin, will present at TMS2021 Virtual next month. The annual event, which is taking place online this year on 15-18 March, has more than 90 symposia planned by all five TMS technical divisions and covers a broad range of topics related to minerals, metals, and materials science and engineering.
The paper will be presented in Friction Stir Welding and Processing XI on the “Advances in High Temperature Friction Stir Welding” on 15 March, and will cover recent TWI developments in tooling technology.
Jonathan has more than 18 years’ experience in Friction Stir Welding activities; providing R&D and welding consultancy support to TWI member companies worldwide. He also organises the International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding. The next event will be held in Kyoto, Japan in May 2022.
