Consultant, Nick Edge, and Membership sector manager for automotive, Chris Otter, represented TWI at The Battery Show Europe 2019 in Stuttgart, Germany.
The three-day event took place 7-9 May, 2019, and featured over 450 manufacturers and service providers from across the battery supply chain.
The show gave an opportunity for TWI to showcase technologies including friction stir welding (FSW), friction stir spot welding (FSSW), friction stir channelling (FSC), as well as laser and ultrasonic welding.
Nick and Chris met visitors at a stand supported by the Advanced Propulsion Centre, where they offered advice and information to over 100 customers and associates, primarily from the automotive sector.
TWI is at the forefront of battery joining for automotive applications as the industry continues to address the move away from combustion engines.
