CSWIP Plant Inspector Level 2 Courses to Run in September

Tue, 20 August, 2019

TWI Training and Certification will be running the CSWIP Plant Inspector Levels 2 Module 2, 3 and 4. These courses have been developed based around the latest editions of API RP 571, API RP 580/581 and API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 and have been running for over 20 years.

Aimed at plant and non-destructive testing engineers, materials and corrosion engineers, and plant inspectors responsible for running safety critical plant and equipment, the updated courses provide details of carrying out damage mechanism assessments for risk-based inspection and fitness-for-service, as well as risk based inspection based on API and ASME, and fitness-for-service assessments based on API RP 579-1/ASME FFS-1 2016.

The new courses have been developed with input from TWI’s Asset Integrity Management team and aim to provide many benefits for plant operators, including gaining a greater understanding of the application of fitness-for-service technologies for repair, replacement, re-rating and redesign decisions.

As well as gaining an understanding of the requirements for risk based inspection and fitness-for-service assessments, the courses will also teach attendees how to apply RBI and FFS on process equipment, pipelines, boilers and storage tanks.

We recommend that attendees have a knowledge of either the design, fabrication, operation or maintenance of process equipment and piping, along with some knowledge of the most common pressure equipment design codes/standards (ASME, BSI,API, NACE, etc).

All courses take place at TWI's state-of-the-art training facilities in Cambridge, UK.
