TWI’s volunteering policy provides staff with one paid day per calendar year so that they can participate in activities that benefit recognised charities, community projects, or professional institutes.
Colleagues from the TWI Technology Centre Yorkshire, Tom Maccio, Lee Dawson, Joe Sykes and Neil Preece, came together to use their volunteering time to support Hopian, a local Rotherham charity doing important work across the community.
The TWI volunteers spent a day helping out at Hopian's Frith Space Café to get it ready to open, including getting involved in some painting!
We are proud of the various efforts of Tom, Lee, Joe and Neil as well as all of the other TWI staff who have lent their time and skills to supporting local initiatives while encouraging social responsibility and supporting our commitment to making a positive global impact.
