TWI is launching a new training opportunity in digital radiography (DR) and X-ray computed tomography (XCT).
Digital radiography inspection technologies are transforming sectors including manufacturing, aerospace, energy and automotive. To support this shift, TWI is introducing a comprehensive DR and XCT appreciation course that will support professionals transitioning from traditional film radiography to modern digital inspection technologies.
The new course is ideal for those working across sectors including manufacturing, aerospace, energy, automotive, additive manufacturing and research, including:
• Radiographic testing operators (ISO 9712 Level 1+)
• Supervisors, inspectors and image interpreters
• Engineers and technical professionals in QA, design, R&D, or inspection
What you’ll learn:
• X‑ray physics fundamentals
• DR principles, techniques and standards
• Digital image interpretation and quality assessment
• XCT system components, image formation and limitations
• Hands‑on DR workflows, XCT scanning and analysis software
What you’ll leave with:
A strong understanding of modern DR and XCT, confidence in interpreting digital images, practical experience using XCT analysis tools, and confidence in selecting the most appropriate technique for the task.
