TWI Technology Fellow to Present at IIW Annual Assembly

TWI Technology Fellow for Structural Integrity of Metallic Materials, Dr Matthew Doré CEng, FWeldI, AMICE is due to present at the upcoming IIW 78th Annual Assembly in Genoa, Italy.

Matthew, who is the IIW’s UK National Delegate for Commission XIII, will deliver two presentations on the topic of fatigue during the Assembly:

  • A Re-Analysis of Fatigue Crack Growth Rate Data for Steels
  • Fatigue Performance of Welded Pipeline Material in Pressurised H2 Gas Environment

Taking place from 22-27 June, 2025, the IIW 78th Annual Assembly will once-again bring together the global welding and joining community for high-level technical discussions, presentations, insights into the latest welding and joining industry advancements, and plenty of networking opportunities.

Hosted by the Italian Institute of Welding (IIS), the event promises to deliver an event of global importance that unites industry and culture against the backdrop of Genoa’s mix of hospitality, arts and food.

By presenting at the Assembly, Dr Doré underlines the international recognition and respect held by TWI’s Technology Fellows and other experts, as world-leaders in industry.
