We are pleased to announce that TWI has been named among the top 100 largest privately-owned organisations in Cambridgeshire, where our headquarters are located, based on turnover.
The recognition follows an annual business analysis carried out by Grant Thornton to highlight the top 100 businesses in the county. The analysis highlights and celebrates some of the county’s most successful privately-owned businesses, offering recognition for contributing to the region and wider UK economy.
The Cambridgeshire LTD list is compiled from the most recent publicly available accounts (as of 1st August 2025) from Cambridgeshire’s private businesses. The report excludes companies that are listed, owned by listed businesses, schools, trusts, charities, and businesses that are subsidiaries of overseas companies.
The Cambridgeshire LTD report shows that turnover for the top 100 businesses in the region has risen by 0.82% in the past year, totalling £7.78 billion and employing over 29,000 people. The Manufacturing and Industrial sector remains the largest contributor to turnover at £2.5 billion, with 34 businesses featured (including TWI).
