Experts from TWI attended a special supply chain event being held by BAE Systems in partnership with Composites UK.
The exclusive event took place at BAE Systems’ Academy for Skills and Knowledge in Samlesbury, UK, on 3 December, 2025.
TWI’s Smart Transport and Digital Manufacturing Manager, Chris Wiseman was joined by Technology Fellow, Chris Worrall for the day, which included a session about supply chain sustainability and circularity, as well as one dedicated to skills, innovation and collaboration.
Our experts were on hand during the day to speak on how TWI supports the aerospace and defence industries, including a focus on composites joining, both to other composites and also to metals. Composites are of continuing interest to the aerospace industry because of their light weight, which can bring down costs.
