TWI Software has released our updated and improved new RiskWISE® 7 risk-based inspection (RBI) and risk-based management (RBM) engineering software.
RBI and RBM are advanced integrity management practices that allow plant owners to identify assets and equipment at risk of failure, manage the risk and ensure the continued safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of plant and equipment.
TWI’s new RiskWISE® 7 is a powerful web-based application developed to support asset integrity and inspection planning through industry-leading risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies. Designed to streamline RBI and RBM procedures, while meeting the new API RP 581:2016 standards, it offers a flexible, intuitive platform for quantitative and semi-quantitative assessments, creating a framework within which inspection and maintenance resources can be allocated to optimally mitigate risk in a safe and cost effective way.
Why RiskWISE® 7?
Users of previous versions of RiskWISE™ will be aware how the software assists plant personnel in the management of risk and associated issues in accordance with industry-accepted and proven concepts of RBI and RBM. However, RiskWISE® 7 offers a number of important upgrades and improvements on previous versions, including:
- Updated for API RP 581 4th Edition: This update will be implemented exclusively on the RiskWISE® 7 platform, reflecting the latest advancements in risk-based inspection methodology and technology
- New Modules and Modifications: RiskWISE® 7 includes a semi quantitative RBI module for storage tanks, fully quantitative and semi quantitative modules for boilers and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), as well as updates across the system
- Improved Interfaces: We have taken customer feedback to improve the interfaces, creating a more user-friendly design to provide a better user experience
- Future Integration: RiskWISE® 7 has been designed with enhanced flexibility to afford easier future integration and more efficient customisation to better support your needs
- Automated Inspection Planning: An automated inspection planning feature has been developed in RiskWISE® 7, enabling inspection schedules to be dynamically generated based on different future planning scenarios

RiskWISE® 7 Features
The newly updated RiskWISE™ software is fully compliant with API 580 and API 581, and offers user-friendly data import, a flexible risk matrix to fully support your needs, modified inspection planning, and flexible reporting formats.
Because RiskWISE® 7 is an online application, it offers flexibility and convenience for end-users, while allowing multiple users to work simultaneously. The web-based nature of RiskWISE® 7 not only means it can be accessed anytime, anywhere, but also means any updates, developments and maintenance can be delivered centrally, providing you with peace of mind that we can support you, wherever you are.
