Register for Our Weld Modelling and Simulation Event

Thu, 06 November, 2025

Registrations are now open for an upcoming event, organised alongside NAFEMS, ‘Shaping the Future of Welding: Advances in Modelling and Simulation.’

Due to take place on 30 September, 2026, at TWI Cambridge, the one-day seminar will be chaired by TWI’s Principal Simulation and Modelling Engineer, Anas Yaghi.

The event will explore the latest advances in the modelling and simulation of welding, including current industrial challenges, the impact of simulation on design and manufacturing, and the opportunities created by new computational methods and artificial intelligence.

Topics to be covered include weld pool modelling, validation techniques, linking micro- to macro-scales, scaling up to assemblies, and best practice in benchmarking and standardisation.

Presentations will highlight how simulation enables safer, faster, and more sustainable welding processes, while a closing panel session will provide an open forum for discussion on future developments and applications.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar is designed for academics, industrial practitioners, simulation specialists, welding engineers, materials scientists, research students, and decision-makers in manufacturing sectors who wish to stay at the forefront of welding innovation.
