TWI, as the ESA Technology Broker UK, is holding a webinar to introduce the ESA Technology Broker programme and explain how UK companies can access ESA support to transfer innovative terrestrial technologies into commercial and institutional space applications.
The online event, ‘From Industry to Orbit: New Pathways for UK Technology in Space,’ is organised by the Midlands Aerospace Alliance and is taking place on 9 December, 2025, from 11:00-12:00.

The event will be hosted by Dr Abbasi Gandhi, who leads the ESA Technology Transfer and Broker programme in the UK, helping companies from aerospace, manufacturing, materials, and advanced engineering enter and scale within the fast-growing space economy. With more than two decades of R&D and commercial leadership across aerospace, defence, advanced manufacturing, energy, and medical devices, he has delivered multi-million-pound innovation programmes and cross-sector technology transfer initiatives with industry and government partners.
He has authored 47 peer-reviewed publications, holds 4 patents, and has led award-winning technology development programmes across Europe. At TWI, Dr Gandhi specialises in helping terrestrial technologies transition into space applications through materials, joining, manufacturing innovation, and in-orbit infrastructure development.
