We held two-days of successful beta testing for our new probabilistic CrackWISE® structural integrity software at TWI Cambridge from 13-14 October, 2025.
The beta testing workshop provided a unique opportunity to engage directly with the development team, test core features, and provide meaningful feedback to shape the future of CrackWISE®.
TWI’s Section Manager for Fatigue Integrity Management at TWI, Dr Rob Kulka, Fracture and Fatigue Integrity Management Consultant, Dr Yin Jin Janin, Fracture and Fatigue Integrity Management Engineer and Statistician, Dr Georgia Schneider, Senior Project Leader in the TWI Software Group, Paul Brown, and Oil and Gas Sector Manager for Industrial Membership Services, Dr Amina Boughrara Salman were all available to provide support, gather feedback and answer questions.
The interactive event was designed for professionals involved in engineering critical assessments (ECA) and CrackWISE® workflows and offered hands-on experience with Pro-CW6, including both deterministic and probabilistic ECA capabilities.
We welcomed attendees from Saipem, Allseas Engineering, Kent plc, Subsea 7 Limited, Lloyd's Register, and Docan Ltd who were all given an introduction to the new software and goals for the testing. The testing itself included live demonstrations, opportunities for feedback, hands-on testing, and group panel discussions with the CrackWISE® team.
The testing provided us with some excellent feedback and we would like to thank Enrico Torselletti (Saipem), John Ochoa Avendaño, Bin Hu and Zhaoxiang Chen (Allseas Engineering B.V.), David Baxter and Amir Chahardehi (Kent plc), Peyman Amirafshari (Subsea 7 Limited), Li Xu (Lloyd's Register), as well as Simon Brocklehurst and David Dinnarr (Docan Ltd) for attending.
We are planning further online testing in December and will provide more details closer to the time.
