We were pleased to welcome representatives of TWI Industrial Member companies to an exclusive Members-only webinar on 28 May, 2025.
The webinar was presented by Principal Project Leader, Dr Abbasi Gandhi, a material scientist (PhD) with an engineering background (BEng and MEng) and 15 years of R&D experience in highly regulated industries, including medical device, automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace, novel testing instruments, data storage, power generation and materials safety.
His presentation, ‘Diffusion Bonding of Metal and Polymer Based Micro-fluidic Devices,’ was delivered as part of the TWI Core Research Programme (CRP), an annual set of projects designed to meet the needs of our Industrial Member companies.
The Core Research Programme (CRP) at TWI
The CRP consists of projects that have been selected to address the most significant challenges faced by our Industrial Members. Funded by TWI Industrial Member subscriptions, the CRP is subjected to a stringent project delivery process designed to maximise benefit, cost effectiveness and tangible operating benefits to Members.
Projects within the CRP have a duration of 1-3 years, depending on scope, and are focused on either engineering, materials, or manufacturing technologies.
CRP Symposium 2025
Industrial Members are invited to attend the CRP Symposium 2025 at our headquarters near Cambridge, UK, on 25 September, 2025.
Attendees will receive a showcase of projects from the CRP, along with opportunities to connect with TWI technical experts and fellow Industrial Members through interactive panel and networking sessions.
