About IFWC 2026

The International Friction Welding Conference (IFWC) is a newly established event combining two leading symposia; the 14th International Symposium on Friction Welding and the 6th International Symposium on Linear Friction Welding.

This joint format provides a unique international forum for professionals from academia and industry to share and develop scientific and technical knowledge across all friction processes.

The event will take place on-site at TWI Ltd in Cambridge, UK, featuring three days of technical presentations, poster sessions, and informal opportunities for knowledge exchange and networking. Participants will also enjoy a social event at the iconic Imperial War Museum, Duxford—offering a memorable setting to connect with peers from across the friction welding community.

You can find out more, register to attend, and submit abstracts via the dedicated IFWC 2026 website: https://www.ifwconference.com/
