Fri, 15 December, 2023

TWI Senior Project Leader, Chris Lovell proudly represented the ground-breaking SOL-REC 2 project at the recent ‘AMI Multilayer Flexible Packaging’ and ‘Recycling Flexible Packaging’ events held in Barcelona.

The two conferences brought together prominent experts from the packaging industry to delve into sustainability and recycling advancements.

Chris' participation was an enriching experience, offering valuable networking opportunities. The quality of speakers and presentations was exceptional, and it was inspiring to connect with key stakeholders actively addressing the challenges associated with flexible packaging and working towards establishing a circular economy.

The SOL-REC 2 project, funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 programme, is investigating pioneering recycling technologies. Through collaborative efforts, the project is dedicated to driving significant transformation in the recycling of multilayer and flexible packaging, contributing substantially to the global movement towards a circular economy.
