To celebrate 100 years of The Welding Institute, we are finding out about the careers and experiences of our Professional Members.
This week we hear from Jade White BEng Hons, CEng, MWeldI, EWE, IWE, who is not only a member of the TWI Professional Board, but was also named on the WES (Women’s Engineering Society) Top 50 Women in Engineering List.
A genuine inspiration to others, Jade works as a welding engineer and subject matter expert (SME) for Sellafield Ltd, where she has found her Professional Membership of The Welding Institute invaluable in helping her progress her career.
Jade spoke to us about her day-to-day work and what inspired her to become an engineer, before speaking on her career highlights and challenges.
Having been a Member of The Institute for over a decade, Jade also spoke about her membership, continuing professional development (CPD) and how a BBC News story led to her becoming a member of the TWI Professional Board!
