TWI Senior Project Leader, Amanda Allison, is due to present at Additive Manufacturing Interaction Day: AM as a key enabling technology for Europe’s digital future on Wednesday 10th March.
Organised by EWF under the umbrella of EU Industry week, the online event will focus on the outcomes and current activities of closed or ongoing EC funded additive manufacturing (AM) projects.
One of the outcomes reached, which TWI has directly been involved in, is the development of certification, qualification and standardisation in AM. Amanda will cover the session ‘Practical application of CQS in a Case Study’ to disclose TWI’s work developing certification and standards for additively manufactured components, including the qualification of TWI’s PBF-LB facility.
Amanda has an academic background in Materials Engineering and is a Senior Project Leader in TWI’s Laser Additive Manufacturing section. With experience in managing and delivering a range of technical projects, such as large European and UK funded projects and single client projects, Amanda’s current role involves research and development of AM technologies, predominately Powder Bed Fusion-Laser Beam (PBF-LB).
