TWI recently held a successful webinar, detailing updates to our Welding Qualifier and Welding Coordinator software and showcasing the important features and latest developments of both applications.
Attendees saw a live demonstration of the creation and updating of welder qualifications and welding procedures and the latest features of Welding Coordinator, including mobile data entry and the setup of automatic quality plans.
Welding procedure qualifications and welder qualifications are an important part of a fabricators quality system and the poor management of this documentation can lead to expensive non-conformances, defective welds and rework. The codes and standards which define the content and rules of this documentation is complex and changes frequently.
Tracking production welding information with a bespoke software system gives many benefits, including verification of welders, WPSs, filler material etc, instant progress and performance reporting and automatic implementation of quality plans.
