It is with great regret that we announce the 13th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding, which was due to take place in Kyoto in May 2022, has been postponed.
While many COVID-19 restrictions have begun to relax around the world, there remains much uncertainty around overseas travel, the possibility of potential new variants and variable vaccine rollout in different countries.
These factors have made it impossible to confidently proceed with the event in May 2022 as originally planned.
A revised date for this event is being sought for the symposium, which we hope to be able to announce later this year.
