Experts from TWI partook in the international ‘2020 Chinese Medicine Summit – Future Industry Development’ on 12 September 2020 in Tianjin, China.
The conference was organised by TWI Industrial Member Tianjin Modern Innovative TCM Technology as well as the Innovation Alliance of Smart Chinese Medicine and the Chinese Medicine Intelligent Manufacturing Committee.
Over 300 attendees joined the conference, primarily from Chinese pharmaceutical companies, with TWI’s Manager of New Business Streams, Alec Gunner, and TWI’s Chinese Programme Manager, Lei Xu, attending remotely to present on ‘Advanced Materials, Manufacturing and Testing Technologies for Medical Applications.’
The conference covered a variety of topics, including smart manufacturing and advanced materials for medicine and medical device manufacture, the development of regulation for medicine and medical devices, the development of new medicines, and innovation systems and management within the medical industry.
The TWI presentation was well received by the conference attendees and we are now discussing potential collaborative projects alongside Tianjin Modern Innovative TCM Technology.
