Wed, 29 July, 2020

Dr Hayaatun Sillem, the CEO of the Royal Academy of Engineering, is due to present at a Zoom-based talk to TWI’s Tipper Group on 12 August 2020.

Originally formed in 2016, The Tipper Group works to promote diversity and inclusion across TWI and the engineering sector in general. The aims of the group are to create and promote an inclusive culture that inspires, attracts, recruits and supports career development of people irrespective of gender, ethnicity, age, sexuality, beliefs, (dis)abilities, and socio-economic background.

The objectives of The Tipper Group include creating an awareness of unconscious bias, developing confidence, supporting career progress and peer-to-peer learning, supporting and improving work / life balance, mentoring, peer support, and seeking quotas in shortlists for senior roles.

The group was invited to join the Royal Academy of Engineering’s diversity and inclusion progression framework implementation steering group and so is proud to welcome Dr Sillem for her presentation.
