TWI has been awarded with a BAE Systems Internal Award for work on the Seedcorn II Project. The Chairman’s Award was given to TWI’s friction experts.
Nominated by BAE’s Andrew Schofield, the work was a collaborative effort between BAE and TWI under the moniker of the Jointless Aluminium Structural Assemblies team, who sought to create a system using friction joining processes.
The collaborative project is an example of how TWI’s expertise can be leveraged by Industrial Member companies to progress the development of new products.
