TWI is holding a special workshop to introduce participants to the WELD4.0 ICT Tool – a new training solution for welding professionals.
The event will take place at TWI’s headquarters at Granta Park, Great Abington (near Cambridge) on the morning of Wednesday, 26 June, 2019.
This new training solution has been created as part of the Erasmus+ funded WELD4.0 project, which aims to update the European Welder Profile in the context of Industry 4.0.
Attendees will be given the chance to learn more about the project and engage in discussions as well as having the opportunity to try the training solution.
The WELD4.0 project has been created with the goal of incorporating innovative digital technologies into the existing welding profile in order to meet the market needs of Industry 4.0.
As the European manufacturing industry needs to keep up with technological advances, the WELD4.0 ICT Tool is planned to be implemented as part of official welding training.
While the event will suit welding professionals and experts (including welders, production managers, supervisors and shop floor managers), training specialists and academics will also benefit from attending.
