TWI was present last week at the kick off meeting of the PADICTON project funded by the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking, a public-private partnership between the European Commission and the European aeronautics industry that coordinates and funds research activities to deliver significantly quieter and more environmentally friendly aircraft.
The PADICTON project aims to develop accurate and functional distortion prediction models for Additive Manufacturing (AM) of polymeric aerospace parts for Airbus.
TWI is glad to be coordinating this effort with participating partners, Brunel Composites Centre (BCC), FDM Digital Solutions, and e-Xstream.
The project is funded under grant agreement number 864819.
