We are inviting interested Industrial Members of TWI, Members of The Welding Institute or members of The Aluminium Federation (ALFED) to a one-day workshop on 27 March 2019.
The free event, which will be held at TWI’s headquarters near Cambridge, is in collaboration with ALFED and will consider and present key aspects of surfacing and joining technologies for aluminium. Exploring the technical and commercial manufacturing advantages that aluminium joining can offer, this industry-wide discussion will be of particular interest to those within the automotive and aerospace industries.
Presentations and workshops will be supplemented by networking opportunities and a tour of TWI’s facilities. TWI’s collaborative group will also describe how the partnership with ALFED could help leverage funding opportunities on behalf of Members.
TWI experts will also be on hand to offer advice and guidance.
TWI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ALFED in May 2018, with the goal of capitalising on the synergies and strengths of both organisations. This partnership aims to deliver an exchange of information through a range of events, collaborative projects and training opportunities, while enabling industrial users to realise the benefits of adopting aluminium in their materials mix.
