Engineers from the Ghana National Gas Company Limited attended a successful bespoke course organised by TWI’s Asset Integrity Management team.
The course was based on the implementation of Risk Based Inspection using the RiskWISE® software.
TWI's RiskWISE® software provides a framework for managing inspection and maintenance resources in order to mitigate risk in a safe and cost-effective manner.
The Ghana National Gas Company are considering using the software at their refinery in Takoradi, Ghana, with a study demonstrating the potential for incremental run length extension after selected equipment modifications.
Ghana National Gas Company are set to implement risk-based inspection programmes to plan inspections and achieve benefits for the management of pressure equipment at the site.
RiskWISE® should also allow for reduced inspection shutdown for a significant number of assets while providing suitable and cost-effective risk mitigation actions.
