TWI is pleased to be within the first 32% of Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) clients to transition to the latest version of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems). This standard is designed to help organisations to consistently provide products and services that meet the requirements of customers within the remit of applicable statutory regulations.
The revised standard places a new emphasis on the role of top management and the determination and mitigation of risk in all areas of the business. In order to achieve this certification, TWI has shown that it identifies, monitors and reviews both external and internal issues to provide consistency of results, added value and effective ongoing performance and processes.
LRQA assessed and approved TWI’s operations under the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for research and development, consultancy, design, information, intellectual property and training and examination services, as well as the provision of Industrial and Professional Membership services.
TWI also gained approval to TickITplus for the design and development, support and maintenance of software packages and websites related to materials technology and engineering.
Certification in line with ISO 9001:2015 following on from the earlier achievement of ISO 14001:2015, offers proof of TWI’s ongoing dedication to excellence across all areas of the business, while demonstrating a focus on process, customer satisfaction and continued improvement across all areas of the company.
TWI is now working towards transition to the new version of ISO 17025 (competence of testing and calibration labs).
