TWI has long been at the forefront of the research, development and application of many non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies. Industry's need for techniques that can accurately locate, characterize and size flaws in every type of component and structure has driven these developments, as has its need for trained and competent staff to operate NDT technologies in order to use them safely and accurately.
NDT’s wide range of applications across industries make it an attractive career path for those who are interested in technical jobs. If you are new to NDT, you should look at the conventional methods such as Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Radiographic Interpretation Testing and Ultrasonic Testing. You can add to your expertise by achieving additional methods/techniques certification in advanced techniques such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, Time of Flight Diffraction to improve your job opportunities.
