TWI attends future of productivity and innovation event

Thu, 21 February, 2019

TWI supported its strategic partner, Lancaster University, at the Future of Productivity and Innovation event held at the House of Commons.

Professor Chris Dungey, Director of the Joining 4.0 Innovation Centre (a joint venture between Lancaster University and TWI, focussed on the digitalisation of manufacturing technology), was in attendance at the event held by Lancaster University.

The event, which was about raising the profile and importance of the ‘Future of Productivity and Innovation’ was an opportunity for Lancaster University to highlight its leadership and collaborations within this context. It was hosted by Lord Price and also included a key note address from Lancaster University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Mark E. Smith.

This was supported by networking opportunities and a chance to engage with Lancaster University staff to understand the role they are undertaking to support the productivity agenda with a particular focus on the digitalisation of manufacturing technology in the North West and beyond.

Chris Dungey was also on hand to promote the collaborative relationship and activities being fostered as part of the Joining 4.0 Innovation Centre.
