We are delighted to invite representatives from TWI Industrial Member companies to attend the flagship TWI Core Research Programme (CRP) Annual Symposium 2023, on Thursday, 7 December, 08.30-16.30 GMT at TWI’s headquarters in Cambridge, UK.
There will be a showcase of 35+ projects currently being undertaken within this world-leading industrial research programme, and opportunities to connect with TWI technical experts and fellow Industrial Members through interactive panel and networking sessions.
Delegates will also attend a technology forum, take in elevator-pitches, learn about the contribution CRP projects are making to industry, and discover latest developments and activities in the fields of digitalisation and data, smart manufacturing, new materials, and circular economy and net zero. There will also be dedicated time during which you can discuss any challenges being faced by your organisation and learn how TWI can help.
The event will include a technical poster exhibition of the newly launched, short-term projects launched this year under the CRP Rapid Proposal Call (RPC), illustrating the technical detail behind by the projects in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), corrosion, new materials, prosthetics and non-destructive testing (NDT). National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC) PhD students, funded by the CRP, will also be on hand to talk about the projects they are currently working on.
On the day, Amir Khalid, Chief Executive Officer of TWI will welcome delegates and open proceedings, followed by Simon Webster, Chair of TWI Research Board, who will give an introduction to the programme. Jon Blackburn, Group Manager for Strategic Programmes for Growth at TWI, will then talk about TWI's Capability Development Programme (CPD), and the advancement of new technologies. In addition, we will soon be announcing two notable keynote speakers who will share their experiences, discussing the impact of innovative research, and the value it creates for industry and beyond.
