Tue, 19 July, 2022

We are pleased to announce that TWI senior project leader for monitoring and inspection research, Rodrigo Rueda Romero has achieved Chartered Engineer status.

Rodrigo gained an MSc in Structural Engineering from Universidad de los Andes and an MSc in Structural Integrity from Brunel University, London, and has since been actively involved in the structural health monitoring aspects of numerous projects at TWI.

His current areas of interest focus on developing, validating and qualifying monitoring strategies for the structural health monitoring of oil and gas, aerospace and civil infrastructure applications.

With his existing expertise in acoustic emission, guided wave and ultrasonic technologies, Rodrigo has helped our Industrial Members incorporate innovative solutions to the inspection and monitoring challenges.

Rodrigo’s recent registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council is another demonstration of the expertise that is available at TWI, and we would like to take the time to congratulate him on this achievement.
